Don’t panic, it’s not Elon Musk, just the sweet sounds of birds welcoming spring! It’s easy to dismiss the colorful flying creatures all around us, singing and swooping, pecking and perching and, ok yes, pooping on our cars and eyeballing our snacks. But birds are funny, amazing animals, and they are the stars of this month’s issue, winging its way to subscribers right now.
There are more than 10,000 species of birds on our planet! Some are brightly colored, others black and white. Some chirp, some tweet, some warble, and some even mimic car alarms or human speech! Many fly, several run, some even slide on their tummies on the ice. Will you recognize all 12 birds in this issue?
Read on below for fun facts about birds, a link to some bird calls, a printable matching game, and a theme reveal for TZ28.
