Time to get to work!
What do grown-ups do all day? As a child, your job is to learn about the world, and the best way to do that is through play. Grown-ups contribute to the running of the world—no comment on how we're doing, generally, but most of us are trying our best—and we call this work. When we work at one thing in particular, this becomes our job.
Work can be anything that fulfills a need: helping sick people, selling groceries, designing buildings, fixing bicycles, raising children, walking dogs, upholding the law, baking cakes, writing books, scheduling meetings, facilitating meetings, attending meetings, documenting meetings. You'll learn about some of these jobs and more in Teeny Zeeny 18, Jobs.
